Surgery
Surgery can be an unnerving time for both you and your pet. We take special care to provide your pet the best supportive care before, during and after surgery including a tailored anesthesia protocol best suited for you pet’s health and surgical procedure, one-on-one patient monitoring by an assistant along with ECG and blood pressure monitoring, external heat supplementation and intravenous fluids. We take pain control very seriously and all patients receive pain medications with their anesthesia, post-operatively and pain meds to go home.

Emergencies
Emergencies are never planned and can be very stressful. If you suspect your pet experiencing a health emergency during business hours, please call 217-992-2508 so we can triage the situation and prepare for your arrival.

What if your pet becomes ill and needs seen while we are not in the office? ASPCA Poison Control Hotline
The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) is your best resource for any animal poison-related emergency, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. These veterinary professionals are available when your pet has ingested a potentially poisonous substance such as OTC or prescriptions medications, plants or even other household foods or chemicals. A consultation fee may apply, but keep in mind, your HomeAgain microchip membership may result in a waived consultation fee.
